Indiana LICA $2,000.00 Scholarship Guidelines

  1. Eligibility Criteria. The scholarship is open to Indiana LICA Regular Members, Junior Members, their spouses, children, and grandchildren.
  2. Qualification Requirements. Applicants must either be a college student currently enrolled, a high school senior actively seeking admission into a four-year college, technical school or vocational training in Indiana. Priority will be given to students aiming for a degree in Natural Science, Technology, Business, Teaching or Engineering. An individual is not eligible to receive more than one award.
  3. Award Amount. The scholarship amount is $2,000.00, with up to 3 recipients selected each year. All applicants will be informed of their status by September 1. The scholarship amount will be disbursed to the winner by September 15.
  4. Application Timeline. Applications must be submitted to Indiana LICA between January 1 and August 15. The application must bear a postmark no later than August 15. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  5. Award Announcement. The scholarship recipient will be announced in September following the application period.
  6. Award Selection Criteria. Apart from meeting all eligibility requirements, the selection committee will give significant consideration to the applicant's progress towards vocational and personal goals, alignment with INLICA objectives, and personal character.
  7. Required Documentation. Successful applicants must provide all personal information requested on the application form. Essential documents include a copy of the birth certificate, transcripts of completed high school/college coursework, and an essay of 300 words or less.
