Overview Each year the American Petroleum Institute (API) awards scholarships from its Scholarship Fund to qualified applicants. Scholarship sizes depend on monies raised through two annual events: the API Golf Tournament and the API Chili Cook-Off. Preference is given to students who plan to enter or are pursuing careers in the petroleum industry, especially those who are related to active members of our chapter; however, applicants outside those categories will also be considered. Each year the American Petroleum Institute (API) awards scholarships from its Scholarship Fund to qualified applicants. Scholarship sizes depend on monies raised through two annual events: the API Golf Tournament and the API Chili Cook-Off. Applicants from any trade will be considered, but priority will be given to candidates in automotive and construction-related trades (for example: carpentry, plumbing, and electrical).
