Eligibility Requirements
The scholarship is available to undergraduate students enrolled in Land Surveying, Geomatics Engineering, or closely related degree or certificate programs at California-based colleges or universities. Applicants must meet a minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.5 at the end of the spring semester/quarter preceding the scholarship year; freshman applicants should use their high school GPA. Candidates must intend to pursue a transportation-related career in Land Surveying. Eligible applicants include U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and documented international students.
Eligibility: Applicants must satisfy the academic, enrollment, career-intent, and residency/citizenship conditions described below.
- Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate in a Land Surveying, Geomatics Engineering, or closely related degree or certificate program at a California-based college or university.
- Have a minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.5 at the end of the spring semester/quarter of the year prior to the scholarship year; freshmen should use their high school GPA.
- Intend to pursue a transportation-related career in Land Surveying.
- Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or documented international student.
- Must be enrolled in a California-based Land Surveying or closely related program.
- Minimum GPA requirement is 2.5 (or high school GPA for freshmen).
- Applicants must plan to pursue a transportation-related surveying career.
- Open to citizens, permanent residents, and documented international students.
Application Materials
All applications must include specific, official documentation submitted by the stated deadlines. Required materials verify academic standing, current enrollment, and faculty endorsement, and include a personal essay that conveys the applicant’s goals. Freshman applicants should supply an official high school transcript; continuing students must provide an official, sealed college transcript showing cumulative GPA through the prior spring semester/quarter. Handwritten applications and essays are not accepted, and recommendation letters must come from current faculty in the enrolled program.
Application Requirements: Prepare and submit the following items as part of a complete application package.
- A complete application form.
- An official, sealed transcript from the educational institution attended during the spring of the year prior to the scholarship, showing cumulative GPA through the spring semester/quarter; freshmen should provide an official high school transcript.
- Proof of enrollment in a Land Surveying or closely related degree/program for the current semester/quarter.
- A letter of recommendation from a current faculty member of the enrolled Land Surveying or closely related program.
- An essay.
