Proactive individuals who are dedicated to personal growth and learning through challenges, who are not afraid to step out of their comfort zone, and who possess the resilience and tenacity to overcome hurdles and achieve success
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE ROAN PROGRAM:
- A high school senior on the verge of graduation who:
- resides in Tennessee or any of the neighboring states of Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia, and submits a Roan application; OR
- receives a nomination from a high school located in an eligible county (within Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, or Western North Carolina); OR
- is a resident of one of the eligible states but is attending high school outside the Roan region, and submits a Roan application
- An applicant who is competitive for admission to ETSU, is set to graduate from high school in the current academic year, and plans to enroll at ETSU in the upcoming fall
- A U.S. citizen or a non-citizen who meets eligibility criteria
ARE YOU INTERESTED?
High school seniors residing in any of the above-mentioned states are encouraged to apply directly to the Roan program each fall. Those residing in eligible counties may also seek nomination through their school counselor.
