Louisiana Hemophilia Foundation Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Louisiana Hemophilia Foundation
The Louisiana Hemophilia Foundation (LHF) provides scholarship opportunities to individuals diagnosed with a bleeding disorder, as well as parents of minor children suffering from the same condition.
The Huey & Angelia Wilson Foundation, in collaboration with LHF, sponsors the Wilson Traditional Scholarship. This scholarship is designed for students with a bleeding disorder who have not yet earned a bachelor's degree. The scholarship supports their education at an in-state university, community college, or trade school. It's important to note that all educational programs must be accredited and meet the necessary approval standards.
Furthermore, the Wilson Foundation also funds the Wilson Non-Traditional Scholarship. This scholarship is aimed at students with a diagnosed bleeding disorder who have already obtained a bachelor's degree and are pursuing further education. Parents of a minor child diagnosed with a bleeding disorder are also eligible for the Wilson Non-Traditional Scholarship.
Each semester, the Louisiana Hemophilia Foundation offers a scholarship that ranges from $250 to $500, depending on the available funds.
The deadline for scholarship applications is July 22. For the specific requirements of each scholarship, please refer to the General Scholarship Information page.
If you have any queries, feel free to contact the LHF office at (225) 291-1675.
