Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards
Scholarship Sponsored by Hispanic Heritage Foundation
Overview
The Youth Awards were launched in 1998 by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. Now entering their 27th year, the program recognizes outstanding high school seniors for strong academic performance and meaningful community impact. Award categories include Community Service, Engineering, Green Sustainability and Technology, with additional categories added over the course of the awards season.
Prizes and Recognition
In each category, Gold, Silver and Bronze honorees are chosen. Each recipient is awarded a one-time grant that can be used to support college expenses or to fund a community service project addressing a social issue. Selected students are honored in virtual ceremonies and join HHF’s larger professional network of 200,000 members. Through this recognition they enter HHF’s leadership pipeline, helping to meet national priorities in education and the workforce.
Pathway and Programs
The Youth Awards serve as the principal feeder into the Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s talent development framework. Awardees are positioned and supported via the award-winning Latinos On Fast Track (LOFT) program as they move from high school to college, graduate school and into their careers.
