The Mas Family Scholarships initiative is committed to honoring Cuban heritage and fostering the growth of future Cuban American generations. Our objective is to acknowledge and reward exceptional academic performance, potential for leadership, and a deep dedication to serving the community. We are fervently committed to backing gifted individuals who represent the essence of our Cuban community.
The Mas Family Scholarships will be open for applications from October 15, 2025, through January 31, 2026. We urge all qualified candidates to seize this esteemed opportunity to receive mentorship and financial aid to fulfill their higher education aspirations.
Qualification Requirements
Cuban Lineage
Students eligible for a Mas Family Scholarship are those born in Cuba or those with direct Cuban lineage.
Scholastic Excellence
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Leadership Qualities and Community Involvement
Candidates should exhibit potential for leadership and participation in community service activities.
Endorsements
Three completed endorsement forms are necessary for committee evaluation.
Financial Requirement
Although not the main factor, financial need will be taken into account during the selection process.
Enrollment
Applicants must be full-time students at an accredited college or university for the forthcoming academic year, pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.

What is required for the application?
Evidence of Cuban Lineage
Examples can be a Birth Certificate, Parent/Grandparent Birth Certificate, a Citizenship Certificate, or other valid identification.
Personal Statement (max 500 words)
Detail your academic achievements, leadership roles, and community involvement. Describe how the Mas Family Scholarship will aid your educational and career goals.
Resume
Emphasize student, professional, or community organizations you have participated in, hobbies, academic honors, work history, and foreign languages you can read and speak.
Educational Information
Include your transcript and test scores.
Financial Aid
Upload a copy of your submission summary and/or your CSS profile.
Endorsements
