Lillian and Arthur Dunn Scholarship

Overview
The Lillian and Arthur Dunn Scholarship provides $2,500 and is available to two recipients (children or stepchildren) of dues-paying Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) members. The scholarship may be renewed for up to four years, provided recipients maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25. Recipients who distinguish themselves and move on to graduate study may apply each year for up to an additional four years of support. Applications must include the DAR member number for the mother, who must be a current dues-paying member.
Eligibility and general requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Applicants must be enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, an accredited college or university within the United States.
- Multi-year awards (generally renewable for up to four years) must be used in consecutive academic years.
- Selection is based on academic achievement, dedication to the chosen field of study, and/or demonstrated financial need; some scholarships may have additional restrictions.
- Scholarship funds are remitted directly to the recipient’s college or university; any portion not used will be returned to the DAR.
- An applicant may receive only one national scholarship administered by the DAR Scholarship Committee.
